Analysis of the behavior of users of social network Facebook

This thesis is about the issue of privacy in the virtual world of social networks. It describes the pitfalls as well as options in the area of privacy in a user interface of social network Facebook. It also analyzes the user knowledge of these options by using the questionnaire survey and try to find a correlations in the answers of users. The conclusion suggests ways to raise social awareness of the principles of functioning of social networks and the handling of personal data on the Internet.
Information ethics and her compliance with the Internet

This bachelor thesis is focused on information ethics and her compliance with the Internet. The first part shows a brief history of the development of ethics and ethical principles. The second part is devoted to information ethics that is linked to Internet, the phenomenon in today's world. This part also describes ethical codes and standards, attends to valid Czech legislation and general principles of information ethics in connection with the Internet. The third part is focused on practical level that is devoted to general behavior of the internet users (and problems or threats, which occur there). Furthermore, stress is laid on issue of electronic correspondence, online advertising or internet advertising and social networking sites. In the part of social networking sites, there is created a SWOT analysis to draw specific conclusions. In the final part, there is published survey, which was created specifically for this bachelor thesis with proposal of possible solutions to improve the current situation. An example of the final claim is that the ethical side of the issue should not be neglected by the society. The ethics (in connection with the legislation of the Czech Republic) should help to build a better society and improve the behavior not only on the Internet.
Information ethics in small business

This thesis examines information ethical environment of small business. It especially examines the relationship between employer and employees and between company and public. The thesis is focused especially on information ethics that is applied on communication in the Internet and by use of computing techniques. The thesis reveals principles that can affect and form ethical decisions of employer and its employees in contemporary information society. Also the thesis examines opportunities those allow to break the ethical and legal standards.
Information ethics on social networks

This thesis highlights the benefits and risks arising from using of social networks and assess if social networks are following ethical principles. The first part of the thesis deals with information, ethics and information ethics, which arises from the needs to apply ethical principles in the field of information processing. The second chapter of this thesis outlines the basic aspects of social networks and their impact on society, describes the key advantages and disadvantages associated with their usage and briefly characterizes the most popular social networks in Czech Republic. The next chapter deals with laws and regulations issued by the Czech Republic and the European Union, whose main objective is to protect people who work with information and also users and administrators of social networks. The fourth chapter presents several scandals in field of breaching ethics on social networks and recommendations for users to protect themselves in environment of social networks. At the end, the bachelor thesis deals with the analysis and evaluation of survey data through a questionnaire.
The attempt to solve dilemmas in the field of information ethics

This work is focused on information ethics dilemmas and outlining their solutions. The first part describes the situations with respekt to a question if there is a need of new ethical theories or if the theory of general ethics is sufficient.It is followed by the rest of the work where the author tries to show if dilemmas are solvable by selected general ethical theories. The work focuses on two areas of ethical problems, the right to information and the right to privacy. Selected theories include teleology, deontology and ethics of responsibility. The description of these theories is followed by their application on selected cases where there are described not only the ethical findings but also the law and the other information that is relevant to these cases.
Information ethics in information society

The aim of this paper is to highlight the importance of information ethics that is becoming in today's society more and more indispensable. The company is viewed primarily in terms of information, which dominates the world, and therefore are defined terms such as "information" or "information society". There si also briefly described the evolution of ethics and its current role. The purpose of this work is to acknowledge that it is very important to respect certain rules when working with information because we are in contact with information every day. Increase awareness of information ethics is the main benefit of this work. At the very end, where is described the influence of ethics on information society, the reader is able to answer questions like "What is the role of information ethics?" or "It's important to respect the ethical rules?"
Ethics on the Internet

This thesis is focused on ethics on the Internet. The first part shows a brief glimpse into the history in this area and defines fundamental ethical positions. The second part deals with information ethics, describes ethical codes and standards and attends to valid Czech and European legislation that relates to the distributing information and data and influences ethics on the Internet. The third part is devoted to the practical level. There are solved problems of the Internet and threats, which occur there, further is laid stress on plagiarism, citation ethics and electronic correspondence. There are not omitted problems as enterprise on the Internet, where the European Union seeks to ensure safer and clearer world, social network, advertising and media. Last but not least the work includes problem of censorship on the Internet. There is also published survey, which was processed to this work.
Infelicity and lack of information ethics in the Czech Republic

Hlavním cílem této práce bylo nalezení řešení problémů, které vznikají jako důsledek porušování norem informační etiky v České republice. Toto hledání umožnilo naplnění dalších cílů, zejména porozumění současné situaci a nalezení vzájemných vztahů informační a obecné etiky. Důsledné studium a popis v prvních dvou částech práce přispěly k získání obecného etického povědomí. Na jeho základě bylo možné hodnotit jednotlivé kauzy popsané v třetí části a nalézat konkrétní řešení. Analýza těchto kauz zároveň vedla ke stanovení konečného řešení. Jeho podstata spočívá v nutnosti zavedení intenzivního a důsledného vzdělávání v oblasti informační etiky, zejména naši mladou generaci.
